GoGuardian Teacher
GoGuardian Teacher allows teachers to monitor and supervise student activity when they are using computers in the classroom. Students do not engage with GoGuardian Teacher. Instead, there is an extension installed in their OUSD accounts that works in the background.
FAQs
What is GoGuardian Teacher?
GoGuardian Teacher is a platform to help teachers monitor and guide computer student activity. Some of the main features include:
Active Screens View: Access a real-time overview of each student's activity.
Individual Student Insights: Drill down to see active browser tabs per student, with the ability to close tabs if needed.
Chat: Send messages to individual students or to the whole class.
Student Reports: Gain insights into the browsing history of individual students.
Web Filtering Scenes: Block specific websites to create a focused learning environment.
What are scenes and why are they important?
A scene lets you apply custom web-browsing rules during a classroom session. When you apply a scene to a GoGuardian session, you can spend less time monitoring what students are doing, knowing that there are guardrails in place for students. There are two types of scenes:
Allow List Scene: Students may only reach websites that are added directly to the Allow List.
Block List Scene: Students can explore the web, but are blocked from accessing websites on your list.
