The Microsoft Surface is the new device for OUSD teachers. We are very pleased to welcome this much-needed upgrade over your standard Chromebook computers. The Surface 3 is a more powerful and more well-rounded device to use for distance learning. As noted in our most recent newsletter, teachers will also be receiving the following peripherals to complete their new workstations:

• 20" Monitor (Donated to our teachers from OTX)

• Connectors for the Monitor

• Bluetooth enabled Mouse

• Mouse Pad

• Stylus/Pen for Touch Screen

Getting started may seem like a daunting task, so we've put together this document which covers some basic set up operations like connecting to your home WiFi, charging the laptop, connecting the monitor and bluetooth mouse, as well as some basic troubleshooting tips. You can also view the videos below to help get acclimated to the laptop and how it works. These can be especially useful if you're coming from a Mac OS and need some assistance navigating Windows.
