The Creative Curriculum is a research-based, comprehensive curriculum for early childhood education, designed to support the holistic development of young children . It emphasizes learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences, while guiding teachers to create flexible, engaging environments that cater to children's interests. The curriculum covers social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development, using project-based learning and ongoing assessments to tailor instruction to each child's needs. Its adaptability and strong support for educators make it a widely used and effective approach in early childhood settings.

24-25 Creative Curriculum Pacing Guide (TK Calendar) UPDATED.pdf

Pacing Guide

A pacing calendar is a tool that  educators can use to pace their instruction and plan how long to spend on each study. Here you will find our Creative Curriculum Pacing Calendar for the 2024-2025 school year.

Keep in mind that this pacing guide is flexible. Teachers are encouraged to adapt it according to the unique experiences and interests of their students. Feel free to make adjustments as needed.

Daily Schedule

Here is the sample of the daily schedule that can be used in TK.

TK schedule should include key parts like  Breakfast, Morning Meeting, Intentional Play  , Outdoor Recess, Read-Alouds, Enrichment or Science, Lunch, Rest Time, and an Afternoon Meeting. While the order may  vary at each elementary school, it's important to follow the allocated time for each activity, keep group time under 12 minutes, and ensure plenty of intentional play for TK students.
